Slam Dunk is a basketball manga made by Takehiko Inoue. After awhile, it finally evolved (why do I think Pokemon?) into an anime which received due appreciation (and a lot of fans) all around the world. After a few 10 years, it was finally aired on AXN Asia and presented to the rest of the South Eastern part of the globe.
Though the color was sucky, the story pretty much made up for the loss.
It all starts with Sakuragi Hanamichi, a freshman at Shohoku HS, meeting Haruko Akagi. Inspired by her love for the sport, he joined the school's basketball team. There, the disrespectful loud-mouthed jerk :) met the other people that comprised the Shohoku team.
Shohoku join the interhigh competition in the Kanagawa district, winning game after game until they moved onto the higher levels.
Well, let's just say they did well. I wouldn't want to spoil the show for everybody.
Slam Dunk is a wacky and hilarious anime that's almost impossible to tear away from. If you haven't watched it yet...well, you've already missed out on half your life. :/
